What is Multi-level Discount?
Multi-level Discount refers to the discounts that are being received by the customers when they order for goods or services. It is usually being offered for promotional or advertising purposes, or to simply market and attract customers.
In QNE Optimum, Multilevel discount can be handled in all transactional forms under Sales and Purchases Module.
SITUATIONAL EXAMPLE #1:
Company ABC Accessories, Inc. is currently running a Mid-Year Sale which entitles their buyers for 25% discount. On top of that, they are also giving additional 5% for a specific Product Line
G-Shock GM5600B.
- To perform in the system:
1. Go to Sales > Cash Sales.
2. Input Customer’s Name, Stock Code, and the Discount.
FORMULA FOR MULTILEVEL DISCOUNT:
- Identify the Unit Price?
(₱ 10,000.00)
- How much the discount?
(25% and 5% coupon disc)
- Calculate your 1st discount to unit price.
(25% of 10,000.00) = ₱ 2,500.00
- Subtract the unit price to 1st savings to get the selling price.
(10,000.00 – 2,500.00) = ₱ 7,500.00
- Calculate your 2nd discount to the selling price.
(5% of 7,500.00) = ₱ 375.00
- Subtract selling price to 2nd discount to get the due amount.
(7,500.00 – 375.00) = ₱ 7,125.00
Multiply QTY to Unit Price at the first or last of the formula if QTY is more than 1.
SITUATIONAL EXAMPLE #2:
Juan Dela Cruz, an owner of a small Retail Shop, has placed an order to XYZ International, his direct Supplier for Mobile Phones Products. He chose to buy the latest models which are now currently on 10%. Discount. Since he is a loyal customer, he was also given additional 5% by the store owner. He asked as well whether he can still use Less 500php Voucher gifted to him by his friend.
* To Perform in the System:

FORMULA FOR MULTILEVEL DISCOUNT:
- Identify the Unit Price?
(₱ 12,000.00)
- How much the discount?
(10%, 5%, and 500)
- Calculate your 1st discount to unit price.
(10% of 12,000.00) = ₱ 1,200.00
- Subtract the unit price to 1st savings to get the selling price.
(12,000.00 – 1,200.00) = ₱ 10,800.00
- Calculate your 2nd discount to the selling price.
(5% of 10,800.00) = ₱ 540.00
- Subtract selling price to 2nd discount to get the due amount.
(10,800.00 – 540.00) = ₱ 10,260.00
- Subtract the due amount to 3rd discount to get the net amount.
(10,260.00 – 500.00) = ₱ 9,760.00
